Maenaddwyn, Ynys Môn

A three-bedroom cottage in the hills of Anglesey, North Wales

A peaceful bolthole on a Welsh hillside

Bron Heulog — Sunny Hill in Welsh — sits just outside the hamlet of Maenaddwyn on the Isle of Anglesey, in good company with a handful of neighbouring homes sharing the hillside, looking out across farmland and sea toward the mountains of Snowdonia. It’s the kind of place where the view from the sunroom stops you mid-sentence, and the sunsets never quite stop surprising you.

The cottage sleeps six across three bedrooms, with a wood-burning stove at its heart, a Jacuzzi bath for long evenings, and a sunlit terrace for everything in between. Four miles from the beach at Moelfre and a short drive from all that Anglesey has to offer.

Log fires and long evenings

The living room is the heart of Bron Heulog. A wood-burning stove glows at its centre, with comfortable seating for all six guests arranged around it. There’s a Smart TV for rainy days, and a dining table for six when everyone gathers together.

A light-filled sunroom opens off the living space onto the terrace, where you can watch the sun set over Snowdonia with a glass in hand. On fine days it’s the best seat in the house.

Views that stop you in your tracks

Perched in the hills above Anglesey, Bron Heulog looks out over a patchwork of green fields to the mountains of Snowdonia beyond. On a clear day the view seems to reach forever.

The sunroom — all glass and light — opens directly onto the patio, which has seating for six. It’s equally good for morning coffee and long evenings watching the stars over open countryside.

Soak away the miles

After a day on the coastal path or the beach, the family bathroom with its Jacuzzi bath is a very welcome thing. The master bedroom also has its own ensuite shower room, so there’s never a queue.

Bron Heulog comes with everything included — linen, bath towels, central heating — so you can arrive and simply relax from the moment you walk through the door.
